Boxes that hang off a console. AES50 carries 48 channels each way per socket and takes up to three boxes chained; StageConnect shares 32 channels across the whole chain. Repeaters and extenders are in here too — they carry no channels of their own but they do sit in the chain.

AES/EBUAES50
8 mic preamps plus 8 channels of AES3 each way. Its converter works on the AES3 ports only — it talks to 48 kHz outboard while running at 96, but it does not bridge two AES50 domains

AES50
Audio System Engine, 7U. Sold as DL371PRO3/PRO6/PRO9 by DSP card count. Its eight AES50 sockets are the ones the PRO Series manual quotes — they belong here, not on the console

Active mic splitter, 6U. One mic leaves four ways: digits to FOH and to monitors on two independent AES50 interfaces, and analogue on the A, B and front C outputs

AES50
Active mic splitter, 5U. Its 24 outputs switch between splits of the preamps and returns off AES50 — modelled as returns, the behaviour it shares with every other box here. None is transformer-isolated, so it gives no galvanically isolated feed the way a DL431 does

AES50
Two-link AES50 repeater on four sockets — AES50 IN 1/2 on the front, OUT 1/2 at the rear — up to 100 m. The two links may run at different rates at once, but nothing crosses between them: this repeats, it does not convert

AES50
Network bridge with sample rate conversion. Three AES50 sockets, each at its own rate, plus one CM-1 module slot for MADI or Dante. This is how a 96 kHz world reaches a 48 kHz one
